Appearance

Character sheet

Personality

Somewhat terse and short tempered, Celeste keeps people at arm's length. She has little use for flattery or colorful words, preferring people that speak their minds without filter and especially dislikes those whose actions do not match their words. Fiercely loyal to the People’s Republic and proud of her role in the Blue Ribbon army. She despises all that would contain or constrain others through force or coercion and would prefer death to imprisonment. She rarely speaks with anyone outside the Band of the Blade, keeping her few close friends in her small social circle.

History

Born in the Noxwood to a poor family that sent her at a young age to live her life in the Dusk Feather Monastery in the People’s Republic. The Dusk Feathers are a militant order of monks that take vows of poverty and train in the shadow arts. Once a feather reaches adolescence they are tasked with furthering the order’s true goal, to curtail the abuse of power by the rich and well-born of Sanctuary. Many do so by joining the Blue Ribbon Army, as Celeste did when she came of Age. She is still a serving member of the Ribbons, and acts as their liaison in the Crescent Wildlands, though she has tied her fate to the Band of the Blades and believes Travis Brightblade to be an honest man capable of making some real change in the status quo.

Quirk

Celeste possesses the unique ability to control her feathers to an uncanny degree. She can make them razor sharp and solid as steel, and can seemingly produce an endless amount of them as she uses them in battle to deadly effect. Many a foe of Celeste Silverhome has died with a quill lodged in their throat.

Interactions with Plan B

The party first met Celeste when they joined Sharok and his three goblin companions in a forced march north out of Solo ‘Quelas to eliminate the Black Buck’s stronghold. She spent much of her time directing their path and watching for threats, and once alerted the group to a Roc passing overhead, shielding them from detection with her Shadow Arts. Once they reached the bandit encampment she spent the night observing the Bucks from above, tracking their movements and hunting patterns. She directed the party to the location for the ambush that eventually led to the assault on the base.

Once the assault began Celeste used her incredible speed to engage and disable the bolt-thrower the Bucks used to deter monster’s from their encampment.

Later, during the Lunar Echo festival, Celeste and Sharok were pitted against Plan B during the second round of the Lunar Echo Tournament

The goblins Ham, Dam, and Lam were quickly overpowered by the gnome barbarian Gnar. Celeste maintained her concentration on the silence preventing the party’s casters from engaging, but was eventually knocked unconscious as well.

With a third place finish after Plan B and the Men-o-War, Sharok gifted Celeste the Bracers of Defense as a prize. During the raid on Solo ‘Quelas Celeste would take to the skies and fight with Travis, Jash, and the Miletus Academy to defend the people fleeing to the settlement.

The next time the party would see the Aarakocra would be when she arrived with Sharok to relieve them at the Western Watchtower now known as Travis’ Hold. Waves of beasts and Satyrs attacked in tandem upon their arrival.

The heavy longbows of the Satyrs nearly spelled the end for Celeste, she had to retreat to the tower interior to recuperate.

With the Western Tower taken Celeste garrisoned the hold for several weeks as the Migratory Path continued to try and overwhelm the defenders. Her tireless work in alerting the watchtower of approaching threats helped them hold the position far longer than they ever should have. By the time Plan B eliminated the Path Celeste had grown significantly stronger in her daily struggles.

Last Sighting

The last the party saw of Celeste she was rushing with Sharok to verify that the threat of the Migratory Path had been ended.
